Statin drug study: statins linked to diabetes risk

There are two conclusions with this study.
1) [This is the most important part of the research.]

CONCLUSIONS In a real-world setting, the risk of new-onset diabetes rises as adherence with statin therapy increases.

2) Benefits of statins in reducing cardiovascular events clearly overwhelm the diabetes risk. But do they, really? Not according to Gary Taubs, Dr Bruce Fife and Dr Mary Enig.
